Parked and Closed up for the night |
During the Flight, I had some issues with the aircraft regarding losing control, it was like an onset of hard over but not allowing any movent of the aircraft up or down and it was an issue where I couldn't control the plane or make it "nose-dive" or "aim for the sky" in any way possible even when cutting throttle to its idle position, I still had trouble taking control of the plane and descend as I was getting closer to CYDA (Dawson City Yukon)... I found it to be really hard to continue on after a few moments, even when I thought id try to divert to another airport nearby I couldn't descend down any feet at all, even at idle throttle..
The 737-200 had a few of these issues in the past and have cleared them up and simulated flights to see if any variant of future 737 variations (ie -300 -400 -500 etc) had the same problem as well, and cleared it up forever so you shouldn't have to worry on anything made after the 200 (except the max aircraft).
I was able to land after leaving the throttle at idle and tried to keep the aircraft at a decent angle of attack to at least descend down to something amiable or closer so I could go around if possible..it was terrible to have this happen to this flight on such a nice day but things happen sometimes for unknown reasons and the most important part is that you land safely or try to mitigate the issue and land and figure it out when you land... even the smallest or modern airports should have a mechanic around to help you should things like this happen to you.
if you look just more on screenshots than anything else the 737-200 pictured here, you might see that name of the aircraft (shown like "empress of 'certain town/city'") and if you know that town/airport/city you can see the airport I was at...is also the name of the aircraft pictured above!!
sorry for all these updates but wow.. this blog is going good!!
